Biomethane....   THE clean energy medium

Biogas is primarily a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. It is created with the anaerobic fermentation of organic material in the fermenters. When using biogas, one makes a distinction between use in combined heat and power plants (CHP) and processing into biomethane.


In this process, carbon dioxide is separated from valuable methane which can be supplied to the natural gas network as biomethane. It can thereby be only green energy medium to be stored and which can be removed from the natural gas network at any place or time.


Globally the implementation of biogas processing plants and the expansions and re-powering by measures of the EU are supported and implemented by the countries in terms of efficient measures to reduce CO2 emissions from fossil energy media. Biomethane is among the cleanest energy media for the future. It already has an plays an important role in the sustainability chain of alternative energy sources.

With previous system solutions, it was only financially feasible to built large biogas treatment systems. The cost-effective conversion of a small plant is of particular interest due to the efficient membrane technology of MethaPOWER. The technically innovative membrane system allows biogas processing for plants from 100 Nm³/h. In this way, farmers can also generate biomethane in a cost-effective manner with plant sizes starting at 200 kWel at their own filling station or also supply it to the mains natural gas network.
